Don't worry, you're not seeing things, Halen is not an Australian
Shepherd! Halen adds a new type of shepherd to the mix, he is a Belgian
Shepherd of the Malinois variety. I have long admired his dad, Idol
owned by good friend Lori Thomas of Elevation Belgian Shepherds.
After being on a couple waiting lists for an Idol puppy that never worked
out for various reasons, I jumped on the chance when Lori told me she
was breeding Idol to her terv bitch, Wyzzy. Wyzzy is also a favourite dog
of mine, so it seemed this was the perfect litter! Timing is maybe not as
ideal as it could be, but sometimes you gotta get the puppy when the
timing is not perfect...these things have a way of working themselves out.
As both Idol and Wyzzy excel in the herding arena Halen should be a
natural at the herding game. I also have big plans for him in the show
ring! I am excited to have the opportunity to own such a stunning young
man and looking forward to seeing what direction this foray into Belgian
Malinois will take! Thank you Lori for entrusting me with this special boy.

Halen has been on sheep once and did not disappoint!
He shows natural talent, gets to balance easily, stays off his
stock, gives to pressure and works off the stock stick nicely.
He'll get some time to grow up a bit and will come out for
more serious training next year.
